Farhan Faqir — Founder & Lead Writer
I was born in Gilgit-Baltistan, where the Karakoram, Hindukush, and Himalaya converge and I’ve spent my entire life exploring it. I started Seasonal Sights because most online guides to northern Pakistan are written by people who visited once, stayed in tourist hotels, and left. That’s not good enough for a region this complex.
I know which jeep tracks wash out in July. I know which Hunza guesthouses are actually run by locals. I know that the cherry blossoms in Altit peak 10 days later than the ones in Karimabad and that most travel blogs get this wrong.
Everything I publish is based on ground-truth experience, not recycled information. If I haven’t been somewhere myself, I won’t pretend I have.

I’ve been guiding visitors through northern Pakistan for 3 years from first-timers terrified of the Karakoram Highway to seasoned trekkers chasing K2 base camp. That guiding background is what separates my writing from most travel content you’ll find online: I’ve answered the same questions hundreds of times, in real situations, when the answer actually mattered.
I cover destination guides across Pakistan Hunza, Lahore, Swat, Azad Kashmir because I’ve actually been to these places, often multiple times, in different seasons.
My job is to give you the information that changes how your trip goes: the honest costs, the routes locals use, the things guidebooks leave out.
